Product Update for 3 Models

Honda Malaysia at 5th of September informed proprietors of Honda Civic 2006 year-model (YM) – 2008YM, Honda City 2006YM-2007YM and Honda Jazz 2005YM-2007YM of the product update campaign. The campaign aims to implement preventive steps against unwanted intricacies within the affected models.

“Honda Malaysia want to apologize to any or all clients for that inconvenience triggered. The campaign aims to implement a couple of preventive steps against technical failure. It is really an early demand inspection and alternative, which we feel could sustain the very best product performance for clients regardless of the technical problems,” stated Yoichiro Ueno, Controlling Director and Ceo of Honda Malaysia.

For Honda Civic 2006YM-2008YM, it’s reported that affected models experienced oil leakage in the energy steering feed hose, triggered by degeneration from running in hot and damp weather. Although the affected models might not cause serious issues of safety, the potential of a technical breakdown might show later on. Honda Malaysia can change the rubber material for that energy steering feed hose to enhance its warmth resistance. The campaign needs to involve 16,537 models of Honda Civic 2006YM-2008YM.

Honda City 2006YM-2007YM and Honda Jazz 2005YM-2007YM are vulnerable to possible failure of their energy window master switch, which under certain conditions, might lead to a small short-circuit producing a burnt smell. Honda Malaysia can change all of the affected models having a counter measure energy window switch. The merchandise update campaign calls for 20,949 models of Honda City 2006YM-2007YM and a pair of,970 models of Honda Jazz 2005YM-2007YM.

Honda Malaysia want to assure its clients that current selling models aren’t affected. Necessary alternative is going to be completed once the parts are prepared. All materials charges incurred within the alternative work is going to be borne by Honda Malaysia.

Mr. Ueno would like to advise all proprietors of models involved to transmit their vehicle for an approved dealer the moment they receive notification from the organization.
