Honda Malaysia commemorates a decade of automotive innovationand success. This year, Honda Malaysia celebrates 10 glorious years in operation. Looking back, it has been a journey fuelled by rapid, continued progress and marked by momentous achievements that have also set numerous benchmarks in the local automotive industry.

Since inception in November 2000, Honda Malaysia has espoused the basic principles of Respect for the Individual and The Three Joys. the Joy of Buying, the Joy of Selling and the Joy of Creating. Rooted in Honda’s worldwide philosophy, Honda Malaysia has always challenged itself to fulfil customer’s expectations through its products, technologies and services, ultimately becoming a company that contributes to the local society.
From the start, it was imperative that products of the highest quality yet at a reasonable price are available to Malaysians. This became a dream come true to more than 200,000 customers today when Honda Malaysia established its Pegoh Plant back in January 2003, which successfully rolled out four models, including the Honda Accord, Honda CRV, Honda Civic and Honda City. The year 2003 also marked Honda Malaysia’s inaugural showcase at the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show, with the NSX-GT as the highlight of the event.
By 2011, Honda Malaysia’s robust dealer network spans nationwide with 59 Honda Dealers dedicated to create a holistic customer experience in sales, service and spare parts. To inculcate service excellence at all Honda dealerships, the annual Tech Challenge was inaugurated in 2006, pitting Honda representatives against each other for skills and knowledge advancement.
Besides Tech Challenge, Honda Malaysia has embarked on the challenge of refining the local team’s expertise by forming the Honda Malaysia Racing Team (HMRT) in 2002. Since their first Malaysia Merdeka Millennium Race (MME) in 2003, HMRT has competed passionately to nurture Honda’s Challenging Spirit, earning them the “Team of the Year” title in 2004 and rising above challenges to clinch Class A victory and finish 2nd Place Overall in MME 2005.
Perhaps the greatest joy lies in knowing that Honda Malaysia has truly achieved brand satisfaction in the minds of Honda owners nationwide. Since 2001, Honda Malaysia has constantly dominated brand and consumer choice awards in the automotive sector, most notably being the Autocar Asean Awards, Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands and J.D. Power and Associates awards.
Staying true to the Power of Dreams, Honda Malaysia has also carried out environmental and educational efforts to further contribute to the society. The Honda Dreams Fund awards non-binding scholarships to underprivileged yet deserving youths, providing them with a chance to pursue tertiary studies and realise their lifelong ambitions. On the other hand, Save the Sumatran Rhino campaign was pivotal to ensure the protection of the endangered Sumatran Rhino.
Each and every Honda initiative is intrinsically tied to Soichiro Honda’s founding beliefs, no matter how big or small it is. Moving forward, Honda Malaysia intends to surpass its current achievements and continue to spread joy to people around the country through its technological advancements, service excellence and philanthropic efforts.

The NSX-G T electrified racing enthusiasts with a show of grace and performance at the Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show.
2005
The HMRT challenged the odds and celebrated the Merdeka Millennium Endurance Race with top honour s, including Class A title victory since 2003.
2006
As par t of Honda’s environment al commitment, Honda Malaysia partnered with WWF -Malaysia to initiate the Save the Sumatran Rhino campaign.
2007
Since inception, the Honda Dreams Fund has helped 100 underprivileged youths realise their dreams of pur suing their tertiary or vocational studies.
2008
Being the fir st humanoid robot with superior walking technology, ASIMO won the hear ts of many with its nifty moves during its inaugural visit to Kuala Lumpur.
2010
The launch of the All-New Honda Insight Hybrid heralded the Insight Generation as more than 7000 potted plants were freely distributed to delighted citizens.
